STREET SWEEPING

The street sweeper will begin cleaning the streets in Brown Township on Monday, April 15th. The sweeper will start in downtown Reedsville and continue throughout the Township until all streets have been done.

MEETING  SCHEDULE

The regularly scheduled meetings of the Brown Township Board of Supervisors will be held the first Monday of every month at 11:00 a.m. and the third Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m.

The September 2, 2013 will not be held due to Labor Day and the December 2, 2013 will not be held due to it being the first day of deer season.

CAST IRON TOWN MARKERS

The Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society is looking for the old cast iron town name signs - (the Keystone Markers) for the towns in Mifflin County.

These markers were a project of the PA Department of Highways in the 1920's. There would have one sign at each end of town.

The Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society would like to preserve these markers in the Kish Valley Museum.

911 ADDRESS MARKERS

Brown Township is offering 911 address markers to the residents of the Township. The cost is $10.00 per marker, and if needed, a post will be included. In addition, the Township is willing to erect the sign on your property at no extra cost.

The signs are green with white reflective numbers. This is being done to assist the local fire and ambulance companies in locating your property in the event of an emergency.
